Let's just throw out Act 1!

Act 2 Pericles as a standalone could be grounds to rename the play to Marina, not to toot my own horn. But it follows her journey from birth to nearly being murdered by her guardian to being sold to a brothel to persuading the brothel owners to enlist her in schools to teach to becoming betrothed to a governor and reuniting with her father and mother after 16 years.
